loose wheels

any one have problems with wheels comin loose

lost one comin up motor way today luckily at road works so no speed involved just a little damage to backing plate

just i know wheel was tight yesterday and today was 1st time i had it any distance, only through mot yesterday..

other half thinks someone playin silly buggers as my old car (honda prelude) sheared three studs last week and wheel not been touched in months

thats bloody scary mate big ol lump to have no control over are you using the right nuts for alloys or steels they are different if someones doing it on purpose its pretty sick u should tell police just incase something happens just to cover your butt kindve thing!

I tell you what mate that is strange cos my nearside back wheel came loose today, i didn't no what it was till i got home, thought it was the brakes at first. I only checked mine three weeks ago. Perhaps some one from another club is trying to kill us off. :? :? :? :lol:

im wondering if cold weather is shrinking alloy enough to let nut turn soon as it gets little bit loose itd go faster? i think nav d40 owners had recall for the steel inserts working loose on alloys

yea its right nuts everythings standard on the car set of lock nuts bought at halfrauds tonight

just to add some new info fella up the streets sons maverick done exact same thing last weekend lost the near side rear wheel

might not be a maverick problem as it turns out its the 4th car in the avenue in as many weeks to loose a wheel but maybe worth checking just incase!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you've got a head case in your area :twisted: If you find out who its is can i suggest you hit him over the head with a wheel key or even better a 10lb hammer before handing him over to the police.

No seriously I'd check wheels before every trip and I'd put 2 lock nuts on as a minimum until you get the nutter. :twisted:
