Have spent alot on it recently but need to get somthing a bit more economical. Im looking for iro 3k or would do a swap with the right van :thumbs

Any questions please feel free to ask,

Cheers,

Stuart.

You and me both mate :thumbs

I've got a 3dr Maverick at the moment that I DIY converted into a commercial and I loved it, there's no way I could go back to a standard SWB, and I'd never entertain the idea of the LWB as I don't like how long they are and couldn't justify a car of that size just to carry round me an occasional passenger and a few tools every now and again with.

Unfortunately my Maverick was smashed into whilst on the way to the Isle of Wight by a big lorry while I was stationary in standstill traffic and my insurance company are writing it off

See this thread for the full story and the pics of the damage;

I read through your nightmare earlier not good! Least your ok thats the main thing at the end of the day :thumb2,

The wee van would be my second car mainly for taking fishing and pulling a small trailer and taking me to and from the heliport, not sure what to go for 2.7 or 3.0? there are a few on autotrader/ebay but they are a bit rough! How was yours on diesel, i used to like the LWB huge boot but thirsty and as you say its a bit big just for tooling around in :D

How much of a hurry are you in?
I might have mine up for sale, I've just about got my boss convinced to get me a new shogun commercial swb.
I had a blue 55 plate SWB 3.0 van for a bit, was handy inside but bloody nightmare at junctions when you would look over your shoulder out the rear window.
I now have an 06 plate SWB 3.0 but have the rear seats folded down 95% of the time as a van. Tinted windows at back.
I love the 3.0 although heavy on fuel it's just never ending torque, although 2.7 does run on veggie fuel if your into that. Pulls my tipping trailer fine and I was just fishing on the Spey last week too.

Not in a great hurry tbh just looking at the moment what mpg do you get from the 3.0?, forget the car talk did you catch anything? :D the Spey is on my list of rivers to fish I mainly fish the north Esk :thumb2 where you based I'm just north of Montrose.

Fishing, a 16lb pound and a 17lb last week on the Spey, there was 12 fish caught on that run that day.
My dad is a Gillie on the Spey too, just south of Aberlour.
Me, I'm just outside Elgin.
I'm driving Elgin to Inverness every day along A96, be about 30mpg tops - if you drive it like a neep, 24mpg.
A full tank will see me 480miles - can't quite get to the 500 mark.

Well done thats a bit of a red letter day that! :clap iv only had one this season, thats pretty impresive mpg what kind of money you looking for when you sell?
