Are they as good as a terrano offroad ?

Cheers

Any good ? PILE OF PLASTIC POO

Is this the same engine as the navara 2.5 that blows up ??

Are they as good as a terrano offroad ? ABSOLUTELY NOT

Cheers
My mate has one and it's as gay as a nine bob note  Plastic everything .
Sorry no idea about the engine

Pathfinder

My colleague has one as well and after nearly 6 years and 80,000 miles of almost trouble free motoring it has now started cutting out without warning. No engine codes, nothing. Nissan have absolutely no idea and after £300 worth of playing around still cannot solve the problem.Bring it back they say, along with your credit card !! So I guess not a bad vehicle overall but like most modern cars when something out of the ordinary goes wrong you are in for a big bill with no guaranteed happy ending.:nenau

Don't be silly !!!!

Mrs is due a new car in next 6 months, she loves the terrano and she'll have a late 3.0sve BUT, I'm just looking around at other options and the pathy looks pucker

same motor, I know its way things are going but still think 174 horses
from a 2.5td is pushing it,ok common rail, so extra expensive when fails.

not a t2 off road independent suspension front and rear. no rear lsd.

noramlly rear wheel drive though offers a road 4wd mode then 4hi locked
centre and 4 lo locked centre, bit like mitsi shogun box.

4wd is dial on dash, not trusty lever like t2/troll.

may well have traction control via abs, looked at an eraly one liked the
third row seats if fittted dropping into level boot floor, like the astra mpv
pioneered. even whit 3row up bigger boot than t2 as body overall
included space used by rear spare of t2, and spare is underneath, full size.

smaller windows than t2, more like troll, not as light and airy inside
plus typical dark interior but getting more popular in towing circles.

pity v6 4.0 petrol was dropped early, might have been fun with lpg.
fair sized engine bay, saw the yanks trying to shoe horn a larger nissan
v6/8 from one of their markets pickups.....

No live rear and gay 4wd sounds shite

Non starter then

it all depends what ur looking for

as a tow car not bad pull anything without probs and plenty of room for the family

as a off roader -little wide no real aftermarket mods in the uk
yes the independant suspension is not favourate for off
roading

but there is some reason why they stopped producing the t2 if it was that good with all its maf probs etc,etc all cars have there bad points

if u were looking at one i personally would go above 06 reg as u start with £400+ road tax

think most stuff is ifs and ifr, certainly all LR barring defender.

t2 gave 15 years with only modest face lifting, ref maf there
was the 3.0 zd eventually.

funny lack of stuff for pathy considering shares much with
navara and are world cars for nissan, probably worth trying
the US nissan oc's for stuff, sure theres a modest suspension
kit, body could be done etc.

My dads got one and he loves it, although the heater only blows cold on the passenger side and its a £500 bill to fix it.
He dont go off road in his but had no probs with the snow on tatmac.

As they all ready said they are BIGGER than a T2 though, as buzz about scratch's

I will definitely be shopping for one of these, when the mortgage is cleared, and I have bit of spare money. They just seem like the logical progression from a T2, but with better load space and more power.

I also really like the styling.
