Hi all

Im looking to raise the suspension of my T2 a little (maybe an inch or so) and was wondering where I can get longer springs or spring spacers for the rear of a LWB?

I know on a SWB its easy as you just get rear springs of a LWB but what do us LWB owners do??

Any help or links to good suppliers would be great :thumb2

there is or was a member doing new springs, though body lifts
are increasingly popular as whilst more work get the arches
away from the tyres and leave the suspension stock ride.

sure Make it fit or fez will be along soon, think was terranosaurus
though not been on much lately, think is rallying saloons.

Yea i know about body lifts but i was going to do 1" on the springs and 2" on the body and then look for new rubber :thumb2

standard shocks should be fine but i'd stick 2+" shocks on to increase articulation. Also take off the rear anti roll bar.

For 1+" lift I was told you can use disco dislocation cones, Which I bought ready to stick on mine. But never never used them as I have decided to go for 2" lift with springs again. :lol :augie

So they are for sale if your interested.

Im not looking at going mental with it as its mainly a road car but if I can go up another 1" easilly and cheaply it will be worth doing +2" of body lift.
I may well upgrade to longer rear shocks in the future.

Oddly i was just reading on another post about the Disco Dislocation cones......... Im new to this 4x4 game but im guessing its a spacer/cone shape that fits above the springs?? Got a pic so I can get the picture?

PM me with price please :thumb2

they have to be bolted in. Easy to install wont take long. Just sent a PM.

Defo cheapest route will be the dislocation cones then a body lift kit. 2" body lift kit for the LWB should be around 80 quid (63 for swb)
Wind up the front torsion bars to match. Then you'll need some extra long shocks to allow the axle to articulate nicely. Not essential though, but seems a waste of effort just to lift the truck and still be all stiff off road. There's nothing more embarassing than looking the part and then getting stuck cause your axle's too stiff :lol
