:!: A guy i know locked him self out of his T2 a '00 LWB, dont know how but his keys are inside and he has no spare!!

Have heard that on some very frosty mornings,it must effect the central locking system on some cars!!
Like starting up the motor to defrost it,then get back out and shut the door and click!! all doors locked and the motor still running.. 8O
I have only got one key as well so i never close the door!!

Hey,

If he's in the AA or RAC give em a call, They'll get in for him.

Then get a key cut!!!!!!

Daz

Discos do that too!

Sort of related
A bunch of us went off road recently with friends and dogs,as you do.
At the top of a monster drop we all got out to check out the route down the ravine. My mate left two dogs in his disco while havin' a look 8O The engine was also still on cause it's broke or something, and yep you guessed it ...the excited little beasties managed to tread on the door locking switch
We were so concerned for him
Unfortunately we couldn't get the dogs to stand on the window buttons  and thought better of calling RAC/AA,so we took the terribly upsetting and drastic action of removing his back window 8)
The little darlings were rescued and reunited with the big outdoors
His penalty was obviously a jolly good ribbing in the pub and a Mr Fixit window bill

find some local hoodies, thell get in, drive it around the block for you too...

you never know the little BUGGERS are clever at times.

the lads near me are always poping to the shops in other peoples cars.

oh what a happy place i live in,

If you gently pull back the top of the door and wedge it you should be able to get a suitable shapped stick/rod in to flick the door lock. RAC/AA have inflatable air bags to slowly ease the top of the door frame away from the body to do this. Door frame may need flexing back the other way afterwards to get it back into shape - don't go mad the glass is prone to shattering if flexed too far but it can be done this way.

 We knew that, just that disco dave didn't

Just a stab in the dark here but is there any chance my fob could open his door??

Keep a bit of that strong plastic banding in the house thats always around washing machines.

Theres very few cars not deadlocked that you can not get into using it.

Been there many times, and no I dont wear a hoodie

Thanks guys, well prised the top of the door with a couple large screwdrivers, and a long piece of fencing wire, gaffertape and a magnet, got keys back out and hey presto!!!!

but he still ordering that spare key ;)

isnt there a trick with hlf a tennis ball over door key lock on some cars the sudden presure as you punch the ball ha an effect on the lock.

perhaps i dreamt that one 8O

It was certainly featured on a sketch show on TV

The Fast Show I think :?

Dunno if it works tho.

No you didnt dream it.

On some cars it'll work, on the rest you'll just look a complete **********

Actually locked a lad up some time ago for carrying a half tennis ball and a screwdriver. Screwdriver obvious, half tennis ball he tried to tell me was for his small dog who couldnt fit a full size one in its gob. Hmmmmmm.

100% for effort and stupidity or humour (I have been had over at times I'm sure but not that easily) , 0% (fortunately) for being an efficient car thief

Well done on the effected entry!!!

Half tennis ball only works on a handful of older cars (as said) that have pneumatic central locking.

As stated, you'd just a look a bit silly on a modern car with electric motor driven locks!

A house brick works a treat but check which panel the supplier has first before you smash it...
