u can buy the hids kits on ebay technically illegal to use but so are most bulbs we all use!

Get Phillips Vision Plus or Osram's equivalent (can't remember the name right now), both are high efficiency bulbs and produce more light for the same current/power draw. They'll be E marked so are fully legal and being to full OE spec unlike most other bulbs will be absolutely spot on. You won't need to uprate the wiring or fuses either which can be one of the draw backs to 100/80W bulbs

had flyer through on these just other day theres a good mark up on trade to retail nearly double price!

What price you had them offered at?

it was flyer grouped in with aftermarket mag for the two fist advertised bulbs ive bunged flyer magazine but id reckon on 40% mark up easily ill see if theres anything on aftermarket website!

THIS outfit are cheaper on some more expensive on others. Jace you don't want to know what mark up they are making, I know what they offered me them at and thus they're making money on that and I would still have had a decent mark up, really must get sorted with buying them in.

i know makes you laugh when they sell for profit then what shops sell at with there profit i usally use company called "oscotts" not sure if there just coventry based or if national?

Makes you wonder why the importers bother bringing in things like 501 capless etc, they must be about 1p each at the docks.

Halfords, Cannock are doing 2x H4 xenons for £15.Just put some in the Focus and they are better than the useless Aldi xenons I had before.
Might demote these to the Mav as its slower!

Light Upgrade

Hi All

Just fitted Xenon headlight/foglight/sidelight HID set of bulbs from Ace Parts (ebay shop). Cost under ten quid - definite improvement on my 12 year old T2's system (but that's not difficult), now I can see what I'm hitting!

Cheers & happy new year to all. CL

These seem to be getting popular among the boy racers, but the main problem with the aftermarket HID stuff is the lack of automatic headlamp adjustment - means lots of dazzle for other users, and lets face it HID lights as standard equipment are bloody annoying!!

I fitted some Halford Xenons when I got my wagon, helped quite a lot, but i also fitted some Hella Comet 500's on the front bumper, again with Xenon bulbs, for the really dark stuff. Didn't cost me anything, had the lights in the shed, only change was that last year I changed one lens unit from a drive/spot light to a fog light, plan to fit an on/off/on switch so that for laning I can keep the car on headlights but switch these extra lights on independently with dipped headlights, or just have them on with main beam, or just leave them turned off.

hids with all gubbins, ballasts etc much more than a tenner think its a bitove crafty advertising from ebay sellers, all new nissan stuff has hids as standard aswell as self leveling headlights still ilegal under uk law but our laws overiden by europeen law making them legal!!!!
