Lets help Briggie (Pete) out

Hi. As a newish member I have been gradually going through all the threads/posts, and have just read the one relating to Briggies' unfortunate problem with an eBay seller. Firstly, what an amazing act by the club and all the members who did indeed "Help Briggie Out" - good one guys :clap. I read up to the point where it appeared possible that the auto gearbox problem was caused by too much oil but after that - nothing. What was the result, did this cure the problem, was a new gearbox needed or did Briggie have to unload the truck and look for another one?
Can someone put me out of my misery please?

and I dont know if the original question was ever answered, did zippy get himself a new guy(s)?
