Yep some cars they dont work on

Car reports a blown bulb.

Some new caravans have them fitted.

Real pain.

ive changed motorcycle indicators to leds they don't work with out some kind if resistor.
don't know if it will be the same here:nenau

Yep, they dont draw enouh amps to work the flasher unit.as most are mechanical still

Yeh you'll need a load resistor fitted or else the trailer light tell tale won't function

No point putting LEDs on if you have put in a resistor too. You can get the proper flasher relay though and then all's tickety boo :thumbs

Most of the 12V ones have the resistor fitted but i'd ask the seller to play safe, but there are people having problems with new cars & using LED bulbs due to the bulb out warning system but the T2 is old hat as electrics go so we're ok

Think the problem manifests when you have the modern canbus systems.

Should it really make any difference on our trucks after all the vehicles wiring will be left intact. It'll just be my trailer that'll have the LED lamps, the lamps I've gone for are completely waterproof and I'm sourcing local to me too. My camping trailer will be getting a full refurb this year. Need to sort some wheel bearings for it this week, then it'll be the wood.

PS just to avoid confusion these are complete trailer lamp units, not LED bulb's to fit to the truck.

As their complete units Jim I would think the resistors will be already fitted into the lights but i'd ask anyway just in case there not, I used LED bulbs as an example about the canbus systems (couldn't think of the name when I posted) but as you know the T2 has nothing fancy like that thank god:lol a lot are using full LED lighting on their trailers in the US etc without any probs & if you get board or can't sleep have a read through some of the trailer builds on here (LED lights fitted) http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/forums/42-Expedition-Trailers but I warn you your camping trailer could end up with more than a quick rebuild after reading the posts:naughty:naughty

Hmm I'm already thinking of a battery inside it without that dam forum :lol I can't afford any more ideas :lol

I got stacks of resistors if I have to mess about too.

I know we're looking for a caravan but I still fancy a sort of off road camping trailer:thumb2 with battery & mains power to charge up the battery plus slide out kitchen & 12v lighting for the evening:augie I won't find you the tread on running hot & cold water for the pull out sink on a trailer build which doubles up as a shower then:lol:lol:lol

Pft, that's nowt. Ya shud see what I pack in my rucksack when I go back packing :lol All mod cons like a hip flask of something nice :lol

We'd love another caravan but it's just too much money at the moment and also nowhere really to keep it.

Know what you mean about the money bit but i'm lucky as we can now keep a caravan on our inner drive but it'll mean the truck will have to stop out on the outer drive:(
