Due to the recent heavy rain we have had i noticed a large wet patch on the roof lining near the top of the windscreen post at the side of the sun visor ..

Its got wet there before but pretty bad this time ...

Is it a common problem at this point ?

Is it likely the sunroof has casued this ?

anyone advise ..

thanks ...

got a sun roof??

cheak downloads you drains are bunged up..

if no sun roof screen leaking or roof has rust hole in

they are rubber tubes in the corners i have known them perish and split on the ends!

I beleive they come out under the wheel arch and can be blocked at either end!

i had a simular issue last night when i got in the motor after finishing work. i had water runing down the inside and outside of the sceen:eek:
re-sealed the top of the screen today and all seems o.k(but then again its not rained yet:lol)
as for the sunroof drains i always give them a good blast with the hose pipe after going off road.
mine where blocked and i had water coming into the passenger footwell.

just an update on the leak....its still there:doh
the roof lining just above the drivers side sun visor is soaking wet so i think it must be the sunroof drains.gonna have a look under the roof lining later to see if i can find out where its coming from.
anyone replaced the rubber tubes and is it a big job:nenau

Could you attach some strong wire or cord to the end of the drain tube and either pull it up the pillar from behind roof lining or down from the bottom. Then attach new tubes to the wire or cord?

had a good look today and the sunroof drains are fine and clear.got the air line and blasted them through with compressed air.
took the plastic trim off of the top of the windscreen to find that the rubber had got a couple of holes in it.looks like it had been sealed up before so i scraped away the old sealer, cleaned it with solvent and put a new bead of tiger seal across the top of the screen.as for the wet patch on the head lining it was coming in through the top of the drivers door rubber.the rubber on the door is knackered with a big split in it about the half the length of the top of the door.
typical i binned aload of terrano door rubbers not so long ago:doh
so im on the lookout for a new drivers door rubber and the one that runs across the top of both doors as that has seen better days.
repaired them with some sealer for now but not confident they will last long.
