I've been asked if I can help provide a few 4x4s with CB's (could probably also use Ham for those with licenses as long as we're careful about not passing 3rd party messages etc) to help marshal BHS Trec, an equestrian event in the peak district this weekend.
Meet at Bakewell showground at 9.45, they say we'll be done about 3pm, pack lunch provided apparently, the want a couple of green lanes marshalling to check horses through them and inform other users so they are aware of whats going on and drive/ride appropriatly.
One of te lanes they descibe as Great Longstones, not sure which bit they mean but thats Black Harry, High Rake, Peaks Pasture etc to us the other one is just outside Bakewell.
My plan is to do the "event" and then take in a few lanes, perhaps even a few on the way out o where they want us if there is time.
If anyone is interested in coming along let me know and I'll sort out more info as I get it.
