Largest A/T Tyre on the 17" SVE Rims

My brother wants to know what size tyres he can get away with with minimal modification but he wont rule it out if he has to.

He's on 235 65 17 Cooper A/T's at the moment and want's to go to 245 70 17 Cooper STT Pro's

He really wants to keep the 17" SVE alloys and I can see why

know of 255/65x17s, on a standard truck.
think there's 265/70s but if equiv of 265/75s on 16s then a good 31" might need some help.
