Can anyone link these please, I remember seeing a few on here a while ago, to allow more attachments.

I am again, starting to plan for an internal camera. Battery is full up though :lol

You shouldn't have loads of wires going to the battery, you could do with some form of distribution system, ie one large cable from the battery to a seperate fuse box on say a bulkhead and then have individual fuses correctly sized for the accessories.

Cable size needs to be correctly sized for any future expansion too.
Fuses must be suitable.

I started to get into that synario on our boat, over the years, adding.. oh just another... then another...with a single bolt having half a dozen crimps of various sizes. Certainly not good in a damp marine environment.

I have recently fitted a bus bar for both the positive and negative.
Now I have only one cable on each battery terminal:thumb2

That looks interesting does that Zippy, might be more suited to a second battery but a nice idea.

Alex, the fuse block that Makeitfit posted is good idea too. If you use that idea run a single positive to it from the battery but put a fuse inline straight after the battery, that way if you get a short or problem it'll give you extra protection but also a great way to isolate the distribution block if needed. Don't forget you can also stick a relay before the distribution box fed from an ignition feed. That way you are still taking your feed from the battery but also turns on and off with the ignition.

I did as Rustic says, Large wire to an "ICE" distribution block, block to the same fuse box MakeItFit listed, then break off from there...

This is my Battery terminal to get the extra cables off to the Distribution block

You can just see the distribution block under the air filter.

It's this sort of thing

and this is the fuse box, which also acts as a second distribution box.

Could have sworn it was you Clive :nenau

As what I already have installed all had fuses ect surely I don't need a dist box, I just wanted a bigger terminal. I was sure you had a nice looking ally one?

Edit - sorry just seen your link, ta

Hey Alex here's what I used in my camper :thumb2 Dead easy to tell which fuses may have blown too

Got one myself mounted on the O/S inner wing to power the tow bar electrics & for when I add some spot lights etc got a 110A welding cable running from the battery to this second fuse box & there is just enough room to have the amp power cable coming from the battery also:thumbs

Aha poifect!

I am safe using these? Everything I run on terrano has fuses in line.

The thing is to keep the wire from the clamp to the fuse as short as possible. Any wire between those two points is a danger should it get trapped or chaffed, as that is the stuff that starts fires. That is why I run to a local fuse box, then break out from there.

Your battery terminal if slightly different to the older T2's Alex so it might not be as easy i'd just fit the extra fuse box which will keep everything nice & tidy

Resurrecting this thread as I would like to get the large terminals now.

Whats different about the old to new terminals? :thumb2

on my caravan i put a 400amp + & - cables direct from the batts then a single 20a clip together fuse holder so you just add them as you need them onto metal plate bus-bars,feeding all separate lines with correct fuses on each line.
the bus-bars i used are mains earth blocks pre drilled along so easy wire attachments.the earth plate was drilled to take the feed cables to the 2000w inverter.
