Just found out both Lancaster's are flying over Derwent water dam at 4.45pm this coming Sunday.
Guess where I will be?:D

best place is up on the moors above the res.
come in really low and not usually as busy.

Funny that I reckon there will be one of my Terranos parked in the locality too but it'll be very busy. Last chance to see Vera before she goes home next week.

Are you going mate.
What's your attack angle on beating the crowds/finding parking/walking?

Parking at best is crap.
Not to bad owning a beast like mine as its easier to dump in places lesser cars can't go.
And I'm pretty sure no one will care about parking restrictions at an event like this.they will be dumped anywhere and everywhere.

I m not sure whether to go early and go walking to the best point I can find.
Go late and take my chances.
Or just try find a nice spot by the lake and dig in for the day relaxing and eating.and eating and eating

We are definatley driving over on Sunday.was going to try to park at the ladybower inn.problem I have is the mrs can't walk anywhere so limited as to where we can go.

That would be great if you could mate. Kaz's mum got rid of her grandads old one.
One of the guys at work has got one but it's got no foot rests on it and the front tyres keep coming off the wheels so not much use.

I'm defo going guys, I intend to get there around 9 to 9:30 and spend the day walking before finding a spot over looking the reservoirs.

Might see you there then, not that I know what you look like :nenau:lol

I was thinking of making a day of it and walking to lost lad.
But I would prefers to spend the day with Elton and his family.
No hills for us though as Mrs Elton is recovering from surgery.

Dunno if I will sleep tonight:D:D:D:D:D:D

I know what you mean about the sleep lol. So are you guys hoping to get to the visitor centre?

Im hoping to do a bit of trudging but if i get chance it'd be great to catch up and say hi.

Just realised youll see my truck with my manly side steps lol

I doubt we will get that far unless were lucky with parking.

Just got home, traffic was horrible! Dam brilliant day!

I was on the hill side opposite the visitor centre, fanatastic view of them. Didnt get much in the way of photos but my son was snapping away. Even got back to the car and no sign stuck to windscreen lol. Got back to the car at 5:30 but didnt even move until 7:45.
