Well in the new year when Jeep has had it's MoT in January I am going to treat it to a new set of dampers. I have reduced the wish list down to the last two makes.

Option 1 -Koni the Heavy Track version at around £360 for a set of four delivered from Germany.

Option 2 - Bilstein B6 version around £355 for a set of four delivered from Germany.

Both e-bay prices subject to Euro rate fluctuation so little difference in price, the Konis are adjustable but not on the vehicle from a practical point of view.

Anyone here had any experience of either make in recent years your two penny worth of wisdom is welcome?

Reason is two fold one existing dampers are original so are past their best, secondly to improve the ride that definitely needs improving - its like a Hippo that's drunk.

I've just put a set of monroe adventurers on my Troll And they make a big difference. Also significantly cheaper at £55 a set

Monroe

Interesting they are £139.95 a set for the Jeep that's a good price !

I wonder what the difference is in performance ?

nothing that us mortals would notice:rolleyes:
It's all about how well the shocks cope with the build up of heat under prolonged use in rough conditions.
The monroe's are actually a very good spec and for some reason cheap on ebay :thumb2
Is that price for a set of 4:nenau
