Knocking in reverse

This might be obvious but could be of help to someone....

My Terrano (1999 Auto) was knocking from somewhere in reverse. Finally tracked it down to the exhaust, where it bends over one of the chassis crossmembers. The exhaust had been fitted quite close to this and was tapping against it when in reverse. A few squirts of release agent, good shove up on the exhaust and re-tighten and no noise in reverse.
