kicing out black smoke

Whats the cause of black crap being kicked out of the exhaust?

never used to do it but looked in wing mirror earlier and saw BIG black smoke kick out. Is it something to do with where mine's never used and opened up, i.e- poodles round town twice a week?

i actually read this first time around when i was a member few years ago and my m8 came in fuming at what he ordered off ebay to fix his exhaust kicking out smoke in the package rolled out a ball bearing which cost him £15 i fell on ground laughing and showed him this workshop pdf file, will not say what he did next with his £15 ball bearing lol.
