On the older T2 with the fob download for changing battery re-code, I re-wrote and put step by step.

I now have the newer key fob built in to key. do you re-code the same ???

I tried your key fob re-code on my 2000 TDI SE+ and it did not work.
It could be my fob is wrong for the truck though as its the old style.

Iv only got one key for it and the remote dont work on it so i do need to try to sort that out too, its on my ever growing list of bits to do, but aint that the fun in owning them? LOL

Check its the same transcoder in both keys. David.

Changed battery in the spare its still working on locking only, top button faulty. looking on ebay you can send the key top for repair two new micro buttons & battery. £14.00 or you can buy for £7.00 fit your self if you are good at soildering.
