Kenlow hotstart?

My new truck has a Kenlow Hotstart on it? Does anybody know what exactly they are for or do as chap said there was a booklet in history that explained it but no booklet cheers rich

basically, from what i heard, they give you instant heat from the air vents, without having to run the engine for a while, they stop the long wait for an engine's water to get up to temp, think of it as a water heater for your engine

great on frosty morning, you can heat the engine and cab before you leave home

i looking to one, but cost to much.

saves on fuel too

A warm engine runs better and at better efficiency - sadly my truck is parked kerbside so I can't really leave a cable running over the pavement! Would make early winter starts on veg that bit easier!

Most cars seem to have them in Norway, the car parks have sockets to plug them into.

I had one in a Citroen CX some years ago, nice to have heater and demist on startup, pricy though, fitted in a core plug hole I think, just like a kettle element.
