Hi everyone.
Well finally back from wales after collecting my Nissan Terrano II, and have a couple of little problems I want to sort out.
1. The temp guage needle does to move but can get heat from heater... Is that justo thermostat issue or is it the the little brass coloured thing next to it (sorry forget it's name)...lol.
2. The ciggerette lighter socket does not work. Fuse seems ok. So think I will just swap the cig socket out for a generic one off the bay of e.... Or should I get an original one of the bay of e or breakers yard.....
3. The airbag light is on..... Seller said that it was checked out and is just a break in the cable (why doi not believe him). But on checking the fuse for the diggs socket I discovered that the fuse has been taken out for the airbag.... Now, I would of thought that it should be there.... Could this be the problem for the airbag light being on all the time.

Cheers Gary

What reg is it first........

The 2000 to 2002 trucks had Milner clocks in them and they all went wrong, dont worry about it if its still blowing warm, they dont over heat unless there is a problem, you can even run them with out a fan.

Cig lighter, most will fit.

Airbag, mine been flashing for about 3 months, they tend to get a fault and there is a fix in the download area of the site, but you need to be a fully paid up member to see it. :augie

Ah ha I see you've paid up hoora :D Downloads fix for airbag light, mine's been on since I had it, the fix didn't fix mine :lol
Thermostat, change it :thumbs
Put the details of yourtruck on your signature then all will be able to help better without having to ask what year what fuel etc

Sounds like he has a faulty gauge, the thermostat sounds ok as it warming up inside, it may be a loose wire behind the dash, if the last owner has been rummaging around, trying to sort out/bodge the airbag light, he may have disturbed something. Worth a look.#
Oh, and Hello

Congrats on the new motor mate :D and of the news is to be believed just in time for the Snow too ;) but don't hold your breath lol

I was going to advise on replacing the cigarette lighter socket with one from Halfords as when I retrofitted an extra one in the rear of mine and replaced the one in the front I managed to pick them up for £1.36 online but they have since gone back up to £9 :(

The airbags, get yourself a fuse put, back in, check all visible wiring and pre-tensioners and if nothing is obvious get reading the fault codes and report back, you sure it's not been in a smash and they've repaired it and got shot of it?

Is this saying the Temp guage does or does'nt move, and is there or is there NOT heat from the vents.

If the guage dont move and you have heat, dont worry, could just be the gizmo on the engine. If the guage moves and no heat could be airlock or the heater in the cab leaked so they bypassed it.

If like Pete (Makeitfit) says swap the thermostat, get an 88c one.

Your post is really hard to understand though..

i read it as he doesn't get any heat from heater but the engine temp gauge works might be wrong:thumb2

??
I think the gauge is not working, may be wrong though as his hands may be cold due to no heat and that's the reason for the spelling mistakes :D:D

LOL... Yes many typos

The temp guage does not work. but am getting heat from heater. The guage did move abit today, but not much. Have ordered another thermostat and will fit it when it arrives.

Fingers crossed it fixes it.......

Cheers Gary

what happens when you put a fuse in the air bag fuse socket? and does the light flash or is it solid? Rick

Whats the name of the clocks, it will be on the MPH clock near the bottom if its a Manelli, they all screw up, dont worry about it, mine been like it since i got it.
