Had a great evening from 8pm onwards. Finished work grabbed dinner and went out in the terrano. It's been raining all day and all evening so i thought what better way than to find some country lanes and anything offroad I can get my tyres on. So I found some really dark lanes a few pitch black lanes and a couple of spots of deep water. Also a car that go stuck and baited out i make a wave for him and he followed me through, thankful car driver as the water was higher than car bonnets :lol i then continued on my journey, also found a few big mud ruts (short ones :() just to test out the hi and lol she was slipping around but couldn't get her stuck :lol

I the. Found a really narrow lane reading "private property keep to path" :nenau :augie so i followed naturally, after about a mile and a half of really slow and bouncy lane i found myself deep in the woods. Got my s3 out and snapped a gps shot of my location. All in all a great 3 hours in mud water and woods :clap

Oh and i also got some great lean on the truck up some steep banks, 2 wheels on 2 wheels off. Bit nerve racking though :naughty

Seems to be, 3 different tests on battery and cant fault it. One test they even measured the acid and cells.

Idle charging at 13.35 volts, 2.5k revs 14 volts

Looks like your alternator output could be low, how long had it been running when you did the test? Rick

Maybe 3 to 4 mins. Seems to only have starting trouble at my work after it's moved about a few times too :nenau

a screenshot of a map is no good, we want pictures of the actual terrain, you should be hopping out and taking pics of the truck :lol

Surprisingly clean believe it or not. I did try taking a picture when I was half on half off a bank, but it was too dark.

Ive gotta hit the hay guys, chat to ya all tomorrow :thumb2

OK 4 mins is not enough, 20 is better then you should be getting closer to 14.8, Rick

Maybe I can pinch the meter and check when I get home.

The techs are happy the battery is ok, one of em is an electrics wiz. The battery has been tested 3 different ways, I did mention to the workshop foreman about the method you mentioned rick.

I can only presume its the very short start stop

Oh!!! As I found out yesterday, one of the younger techs who was moving my 4x4 didnt know about waiting for the coil light either... That'd do it :doh
