Jeep WJ heater playing up !

On a couple of occasions the Jeep has started blowing cold air when set to Hi and the engine is at normal temperature.

Tonight it blows hot air when set on Lo - Cold and when set on Hi-Hot it blows cold !

Anyone here had similar issues on a Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ series ?

Also have door open display overhead even when it is shut!

Looks like I am going to need a heater door bend module and a drivers door module to fix both problems. All sound expensive!

That's all a bit weird. Hope that fix isn't too expensive, you just never know sometimes.

Apparently the heater issue is a common fault with the WJ series Jeep it can be either the control module itself of the flaps/doors inside the heater. It did play up about a month ago but then seemed to fix itself. The control module is reasonably easy to access they are new on e-bay for around £35.00 if its the flaps that fall to bits on the pivots they need the heater out to replace - big job. Most folks seem to go for a cut out option and fit replacement kits £75 depending on make.

The door locks module I have yet to price I am expecting it to be around £150-£200 mark for a new one.

Ended up being a broken wire in the door !

It is for the master drivers door lock but when this wire breaks it sends the heater into Australian mode really weird!!

The one broken wire stopped all the electric windows working, the drivers door lock had to be locked manually, no door mirror folding or adjustment plus heater working in reverse.
