Well finally got round to having the new rear ARB clamp bushes fitted today. I had to source the parts from the U.S. It's had new drop links a few weeks back but the genuine Jeep Clamp bushes were too small.
I found out that the rear ARB had been upgraded to an ADCO rear bar 1" in diameter in place of the original one of 5/8" used by Jeep. After a lot of searching got a pair of greasable rear bushes complete with clamp & nipples from Fort Worth in the US for £25 including postage.
It is now clonk free at the rear but the ride on B road is a bit Wibbly / Wobbly / jiggly especially on a light throttle at 20-30 mph. If I had a nodding dog on the rear parcel shelf Churchills Head would drop off! Give it some acceleration and it seems much smoother over the bumps but you can't always be in acceleration mode on side streets.
It might be the nature of the beast that I have to live with but am wondering if some new / better rear shock absorbers to help? Anyone have any experience of suspension tweeking. It is only for "on road" use and I think a firmer harder ride would be better that the present one.
