Well today I decided to sort out the rear brakes on the Jeep even though its ownership is on probation with the Missus.
The outer face of the discs were corroded so only half of the rear outer pad was contacting a common problem it seems on a lot of rear discs. My old Mini had the same fault at 18k miles.
No seized sliders and the old discs came of nice and easy with a bit of lump hammer persuation. No blood has been spilled all knuckle skin intact !
Best bit of all was sourcing the parts locally - complete set of Blueprint Discs & Pads a reasonable £69.98 inc VAT !
Missus is out with her folks in the Jeep in the morning so am hoping thats a good sign. Just got to get that ground in muck out of my finger nails. If it wasn's so gay I would hand wash something ! Opps not very PC lol
