MOT for mine I mean around end of the month, so gave it a look over today, rear exhaust stuffed but knew that in stock is new one but it would not marry with my centre section (which I welded up a while ago and is still good) so no option but to replace that as well, also in stock, together with gaskets and mounts, both front wheel bearings need adjusting and off side track rod end worn, done the TRE and adjusted OS bearing, amazingly the front drop links are still good, considering the track I drive daily is pot holed I am pleased, so still to do NS wheel bearing adjust and a bit of body welding near the rearmost NS body mount and rear wiper blade, that is all I can find, Rick

Oh forgot, got pair of good wings but no time to change them so the gaffer tape will have to do, Rick

Come on Rick!!!!! You've gaffer taped those wings closed for the past 3 MOT's :lol

Get em swapped :lol In all seriousness though, if they pass with the tape just do it to get the ticket, you've more important things going on at the moment like getting us some more pics of your handy work posted up :naughty

I do have to say they are getting really bad now, but having discovered the bit of welding needed on the rear NS, for which I will need to remove the tail pipe, it mean I will be working on it next W/E so no time for wing change at the mo, but will do it in the not too distant future, (before they fall off completely) Rick

OK did the bit of plating this afternoon, had to remove the rear bumper and even then access was not easy, but sorted now just got to finish fixing the bumper in the morning, then book it in for later in the week, this is the hole after I hit it about a bit last week, sorry no pic of the finished job as not too proud of it, need to be a contortionist to weld up in there and needed several pairs of glasses in order to focus, getting far too hard now, welding on the bench no problem though, Rick

It's a horrid and painful experience welding in those places :lol its the sort of job that can't be finished quick enough

Fair play Rick :thumb2 I know your pain when it comes to needing glasses on a job!!! I hate when I have to wear goggles as well and then my glasses steam up :(

Fingers crossed for you for the MOT, I'm sure if they do pick up on anything else it will probably be very trivial and sorted within the day :thumbs

All sweet, just one advisory, rear number plate cracked, I knew that and chucked new one off my trailer in just in case, but not going to put it on cos I will just back it into the trailer hitch again :doh , Rick
