My clutch pedal bracket had seen better days, both spot welds had snapped off, the hole at the top where the bracket is held to the floor pan by a 13mm bolt has worn through which I had already repaired with a large washer and there was another gigantic split down the back of the bracket, see the pics of the damage below.

Rick kindly sent me a new one in the post which I fit tonight :thumb2

I adjusted the pedal return bolt to the same level as the old bracket and everything that was refitted was exactly the same as the old that had come off

The only problem I'm faced with now is the fact that the biting point on the clutch seems to be very very high on the pedal making the car very difficult to drive :nenau

Is there a way to adjust the bite point?

Which one is it on the picture?

is it the one attached to the clutch tube pipe or the one behind the pedal?

you will have to do it from the engine bay, you need to pull the master cylinder back a bit to get to it iirc

no slack the nut from inside and turn the shaft by hand, if stiff you can use grips, once you have a little free play nip the nut up again, a little fiddly to get to, but if you remove the cylinder it will be many in and outs till you get the adjustment right, Rick

thanks for correcting me Rick, i couldn't remember 100% how i did mine i just remembered at some point i took the master out, can't remember why now though
