ive found the square on the back of the gearbox or it could be the transfer box is this the right thing to CHECK the oil and where is the drain plug im after the gearbox oil not the transfer unless they are the same thing,also on the drivers side theres a big rubber thing near the top of the gearbox and a bolt underneath but mine hasnt got the bolt in its just a threaded hole is this ok

There is a square female bolt to the near side of the gearbox. The one nearest the bell housing is the top up for the gear box. On the botttom there is another one, this is the drain.If you want to drain the box undo the top up plug first this will let the oil drain faster. Hope that helps.
