Nope, not that we could see, very overgrown though and didn't step into middle. Why do you ask?

Nothing army related I can think of off hand, when my Grandparents lived in Essex there was two concrete air raid shelters across the field from their house

They look like static water tanks to me, we have the same things in woods near Reading.

That was my thoughts along with the sewage bed too. Can you get an os grid ref for them. Is there a local Royal British Legion branch near to you or museum that you can take the photos along to.

I think its an old water tank they have quite a few of them near Clipstone Forrest in Notts on the old MoD tank testing grounds.

When I lived that way I used to collect Daphnia from them in the summer to feed to my tropical fish.
You also get them with corregated steel surrounds presumably used as a mould when they built them.
