One reason is that after going through water I have a brake that I know is going to be there when I put my foot on the brake and don't put it in the ditch.
And on the road you can put the weight forward into the corner to give grip and then put your foot down out of the corner rather than having to wait 5 seconds before you have any power again. I am not a big fan of fly by wire throttles give me a mechanical system any day, dead simple is best.
I've got my Victor Meldrew head on guys. I can see a need for this kind of braking on a racing track but seriously on public roads. Surely this is a dangerous method of driving? I know I'm going to get shouted down for this but this is seriously dangerous driving on public roads.

So it's not just me then.:thumbsI dab the brake before cornering to transfer the weight to the front and load up the front corner as i go into a fast bend.i did this naturally as a youth before I realised what I was doingjust common sense as the weights where you need it. Last thing you want is sudden weight transfer when cornering fast

Sudden weight transfer is just grate on Manx roads in a 4x4, my old driving instructor who use to teach advanced driving never had any problems with it.
Next thing 'Victor' will be telling me I can't cut across the white lines.:naughty
If I am trying to get out of a sticky situation off road and need to do a bit of heal and toe to stop me from putting the thing on it's side I'd like to be in control of my vehicle not it in control of me, I hate turbo lag and now electronic throttle lag too now I'd consider that to be a danger on the roads. Wouldn't you?? :nenau
