hi can you guys tell me if a 96 minstrel td engine will fit into my 95 td terrano thanks oh the minstrel is auto were as the terrano isnt.

maybe subtle differences with throtle cables and such like and think your gonna need a spigot bearing for back crank/center the flywheel for input shaft to rest on

As far as I'm aware all Mistrals are auto. Engine I believe is same as its Jap import version of Terrano. There will be like Jace said a few subtle differances, but I wouldn't have thought enough to worry about.

Best people to reply to you would be Toolbox or Terranokid

there seem to be some differences ie no fuel heater in the filter housing on a mistral and the pipe arrangment round the turbo and egr seems to be more like and earlier (pre 96 terrano II) I have also found the 96 on t2 engine seems to be a little more powerfull than the earlier one! may be down to the egr and turbo pipework? but the engine does appear to be basicaly the same! the only other difference i can see being its an auto box and has air con!

so long as youve both engines you will be able to take the parts of the one to adapt mistral one to fit only thing i think your gonna have to buy new is spigot bearing for end crank as doubt itll come out in one place if i were u id put new clutch kit in whilst its in bits hate to take it to pieces again 6mths down line fuel filter and stuff use your cars orignal one, all this suposes your not doing petrol to diesel conversion, and mistral engine isnt the intercooled model which may need bit of fabricating to get intercooler in.if you send picture to mav hell get it on and well soon see any differences
