Anyone know how to synch a classic to new hard drive without losing contents.Had hd go tits up and not able to save anything so replaced and dont want to lose 45 gb of music / films / photo,es

I know iTunes is poxy, which is why I never got a Ypod. But can you not just copy the contents back to your HD like you would with a normal MP3 player?

Open ITunes, plug your IPod in.

click on the IPod connection on the left, ensure that the option to overwrite files on device is UNTICKED. It will then sync your IPod to the computer and not the other way around
