Intermittent engine management light and loss of power!!??

Hi all..... I have returned

I took my truck off the road over the summer since May as I was using my classic Datsun to cruise about in! Well the Datsun is now out of MOT so the Terrano is now back

I took the T2 for an MOT last week...... And it passed first time with no advisories

I also gave it a nice wash and polish to treat it lol

HOWEVER it's now developed an issue!
Sometimes (at least once a day) the engine management light will come on and I loose 80% of my power! Normally happens if I lift off the throttle and then go back on again. If I give it a bit of a run it's normally ok but it will come back!
The things I can think of are......

Water has got into somewhere it shouldn't of!
4 month old Diesel is affecting something!

I'm gonna fill up fresh today and I'm doing a 200 mile trip this weekend so I can see what that does!

Any ideas guys?

water in the drivers footwell causing probs with the throttle position sensor ? failing that its a case of changing the fuel filter before filling up to see if thats the prob :nenau

ok, so its going into limp mode.

You need to get the fault codes off it before you do anything

you can do this with a paper clip, i think there is a guide in workshop downloads
