well I will throw my bit in for the sake of sanity, most of what is written about this is complete rubbish, turbos are pretty well matched to the motor, to be able to provide more boost at a whim is nonsense, it relies completely on the output from the exhaust, so to say that max psi at x revs should not be exceeded , becomes piffle if the turbo cannot provide that boost in the first place, Rick

Is any of that relevant to your truck though ? :nenau I didn't think the 2.7 had variable vane turbo or ecu controlled boost ?
Still go for the boost gauge gubbins though :D

Fook it mate, its on the list :D

Got my intercooler at the menders at the moment, so i need to save up but rear springs and then front shocks, but defo getting a boost gauge then one of these, its only £50 anyhow

It was15 psi but will be reset on rolling road soon as I get time , may not be as much with the new turbo.:naughty

what happens if you increase it, ie what determined your limit ?

And what difference does it make to performance in real terms ?

You cant get enough fuel to match the wind coming in  That's why I've stuck lpg up mine :sly
So now I can run high boost but with extra fuel(LPG) and therefore one hell of lot more power :naughty

Can the pump not be 'turned up' ?

Also I'm sure that you can get 12 psi or so without leaning off too much

Also diesels don't suffer from running lean in the way petrol's do, but i understand that more fuel will give you loads more power as no more power once its running too lean

Fly by wire pump needs a remap I guess but I understood they don't have much capacity spare

wouldn't a tunit or powerbox thingy help for more fuel?
