So its gone where the tubes of the core go into the end tank

Been to 2 specialists in stoke, one offered to do a repair with resin/araldite stuff that they couldn't guarantee for over a £100, the other just straight told me it was fooked and to re-core would be £350 :lol:doh

So what suggestions do you guys have ??

what bit exactly is broke? got a pic of it?

Its got pin holes in the joins where the tubes of the 'tube and fin' core are braised into the end tank, its not visible to the eye

Would it not be cheaper to just buy a good condition 2nd hand intercooler?

thats why i was asking, is it the intercooler or the manifold? i've sold my intercooler but i do have a manifold

I think plank said he got 3 before he found one that was ok
I'm toying with smothering it in epoxy or jb weld etc

Yeh but i could paste it with jb weld etc, myself

I dont think there is another repair option from what I've seen, other than a total recore and thats like £350

Btw cheers for your input so far lads :)

He quoted me a lot less than that for a total re-core, and did the jb weld thing for free. Equicar in cosley (01902882883 ask for Simon) will probably have a second hand one but to be honest you need a proper pressure test on a second hand one to prove it isn't leaking, compressed air and looking for bubbles is the only way :thumb2

I've got one you can buy :D
It was working fine when it was on the truck. I have a huge one now so offers please :sly

Cheers pal but just made an offer on one on ebay with 30 days warranty, but also... mate reckons he might be able to cut the tank off braze it and tig the tank back on
