Anyone know a good insurance broker for my Nissan R3mR Auto ?

I was with Sabre through Adrian Flux / Hyperformance but they want £578.43 for renewal with Zenith.

Vehicle is in wife's name with only 1 years NCB.

i got a 98 2.8td trol and i pay £800+ with 9 years ncb:(

About 330 Euro for me and the missus Third Party Fire and Theft. 96 SWB Commercial,no mods. Tax 288 Euro. Full NCB but no windscreen cover, with Quinn Direct. Are they still operating Motor Insurance in the UK?

insurance due

Quinn are in administration according to Google Search so I would not risk them.

Got three quotes round the £530 mark with Go Compare !

Thats £50 saved so far for 15 minutes work on the net.

I've use confused.com for the last few years. They seem to stutter for modified vehicles but for standard spec I've not got anywhere to beat them.
Just got my renewal in from Bell complete with £200 added on because iwas invoved in a no fault claim..... Wtf is that about. Confused have come up trumps, £317 fully comp. Me & the missus , bussiness for me. That's with Admiral with hire car and what have you. In common with other insurers they give a hefy on line discount.

Give it a go :thumbs

NFU beat go compare for me.
£362 fully comp inc business use.
Worth a try, they don't just insure farmers. :)

Fortis insurance through the Caravan Club, comprehensive, wife and myself, protected no claims bonus £222.99 plus £8 renewal fee, includes windscreen cover. You may pay less if you are both on the policy some insurance companies prefer couples. regards bri

Rang Bell & Co long chat with Insurance Clerk who turns out to be at Admiral who I had a quote off through Confused.com she quoted me £600 plus . Turns out that Admiral, Diamond & Elephant are all one and the same ?? Hence all three quotes were within £5 of one another but less on the net.

Now confusion hinges round no one has a Terran R3mR listed on the system so no one will give me a firm price !!

Its at times like this I wish I never bought an import.

R3mR Insrance Quotes

Tried Direct Line last year and as the R3mR was not listed on their system they would not quote me.

for fun, try http://www.coverbox.co.uk/
i dont use them myself, but its another broker to try. lad at work uses them, pay as you go style, costs him i think he said £15 a month so far and he can track his every move online due to the fitted tracker that comes with the policy!

lmao I didnt know about diamond I might try them next year.

2 years ago i was with elephant, then bell quoted £10 or so less for last year and now Ive shifted to Admiral. I'll try Diamond next year :D

One point about go compare , confused.com and their mates. The irony for me is that the same companies charge more for me on go compare :nenau no idea why. the one Ive taken via confused was £30 more on compare. still less than phoning for a quote. I was told a bit back that it depends on what fees of commission these sites charge for their services, effectively as a mini broker.

well worth shopping around :thumb2

Get a copy of 4x4 magazine. The back of that is stuffed with ads for specialist ins brokers. When I had the Terrano and was modifying bits of it, a lot of those were very competitive. They just werent so good for standard cars which the jeep I swapped to is so I didnt use any of them.

next time im getting a traders policy, a friend is fully comp for anything for just under £800 and he can have 3 cars in his name

Thought they had clamped down on traders policies with requirement to be VAT registered or you need a registered trading name. Also no glass cover with traders policy and often the excess is often crippling our Traders Policy at work has a £10k plus excess with an excess for staff of £600 !!

With three motors and 3 different NCB entitlements I pay about £1100 a year for the three.

there you go, saved your £10 again!

the best 4x4 site by far...
