Ok, so i had my intercooler tested to try and find out what was causing the boost fault code and limp mode, applied raadiators claimed it was faulty and then said they wanted £170 to do an un garanteed repair with alraldite :lol
So i told them to shove it up there arse and left with my intercooler
Then I ordered one off ebay, fitted this intercooler this afternoon and car was the same :doh driving ok, for ages then would go into limp mode again
went to get this newer intercooler tested at another place in stoke pk radiatiors, i watched the guy bung the ends and put 20psi in it, then dip in his tank, so that intercooler was fine
so, i have pulled the inlet manifold off, to replace gasket and do the egr delete properly.
This was not too bad its just a twat to get the egr off so you can access the last bolt on number 4
It looks like it has gone on number 1 cylinder inlet port and number 4 :
Anyway, I'm going to get two 4 mm plates made up to go in place of the egr valve and bolt them in place of it, rather than using thin 2mm ones in place of the gasket, just get rid of the whole bloody thing. also if i have to get the head off in future it will make it far easyier as the egr valve is a bastard to get off as explained
