Decided to put some bio fuel in tank, was not long before i was loosing power and white smoke appeared, have drained tank, replaced filter, but to no avail, any ideas please?

This is going to sound really really strange but take your fuel cap off, leave your cap open and take it for a spin and report back

If it's the first time you have used bio, it might be thicker than the diesel, so having trouble getting through the mini filter in enough quantity.

White smoke usually means air getting in.

Hi, no different, can only get it to 2200 revs, misfires coincide with puff of white smoke too,

Sounds just like mini filter, download 10 I think, easy fix under an hour.

How did you fix your blocked vent in the filler cap or was the vent blocked elsewhere?

Don't waste your time with the Mini Filter as you don't have one!!!! 96 onwards do not have mini filters

Bowl of boiling hot water with washing up liquid, swished it around a bit and got a stiff bristled brush and scrubbed the hell out of it and now it looks like new :)

Am in ore!

Guys, the best £10 i have ever spent! used the workshop as suggested, found the filter, clogged to hell, cleaned, replaced and runs perfectly! i had 3 local mechs look at it and could have cost me a fortune! I am in your debt, am a builder, if i can help with any advice, please ask.

Regards,

Den

Correct diagnosis done in just over two hours...
Not bad for a Saturday lunchtime.:thumb2:thumb2

Time and a half too...:lol:lol:lol

What damage would the crap in the mini filter do to the IP if mini filter was not there:eek:
I think binning it is a recipe for disaster, Nissan are famed for saving money, I do not think they would fit it if it did not have a use

None whatsoever

The main fuel filter is all u need

And having seen inside my fuel tank when I had the pick up out, I'd happily run no filter on veg if i had to, as its spotless in there
