hello all, found my indicators completely out of action on my way home today (worked in the morning). The light and ticking noise doesnt come on at all. However, when I push the hazard light button it all works fine and all the bulbs are fine. Couldnt find any fuses described as relating to the indicator lamps. Anyone got any ideas? Its a Y reg (2001) nissan terrano II 2.7 TD. Thanks, Rob S

You haven't got a towbar fitted have you? I've seen it where the towbar wiring or socket shorts out but if that was the case I'm not sure the hazards would work.

I could be wrong but have an idea that the hazard flasher is a separate unit so if I am right your direction flasher may have failed, will look at a scrapper in the morning, Rick

I was thinking that, was on my kit car anyways

On my Mav fuse No 2 10amp is for indicators & No 7 is for the Hazard flasher

had this too, think replaced indicator relay even though hazard unit was ok.

just to throw into the mix, when towing if indicating should have a light or buzzer
that err flashes or beeps in time to the signal to show trailer is copying car, oddly
or not as case may be if have hazards on the buzzer doesn't echo it. frankly not
complaining but not sure on legal side of it.

the relay unit that sounds the signal on indicating left or right will only work on one signal if both operating as in hazards it will not respond, Rick

Thanks for the replies, was a fuse (labelled as engine control which is why I hadnt checked it before).

No number, its right at the top of the fuse box (under the steering wheel) underneath the spares.
