Hi, noticed today that my passenger side rear indicator isn't working. The drivers side works fine (front and back) and the passenger side (front) are ok. Drivers side is flashing fast when indicating right. To me this indicated bulb or fuse gone.

Noticed yesterday whilst out that there was a noise similar to when you lock all the doors on the drivers armrest switch. Thought it strange at the time as my arm was not pressing on armrest but I guess that is when the bulb blew. Not sure... it could be totally unrelated. But strange.

In any case I have changed the rear passenger side bulb, which had blown. Tried the indicators again but problem still there and new bulb not flashing. Also drivers side still flashing fast.

None of the fuses in the diagram shout out "indicator fuse". So I have checked all the fuses visually and all seem to be ok. I have checked the fuses in the engine bay and also under the dash.

Is it a simple case of I haven't checked the right fuse and it needs changing, in which case which one is it, and where? Or is it something more sinister, especially with the central-locking-type-clunk I heard yesterday.

Thanks. It's a 2005 2.7 LWB by the way.

The contacts can get cruddy and make a bad connections

There was a thread on here a few days ago, your Blinker Fluid probably needs changing.. Lol

There is a connection behind the rear indicators up under the bumper that corrodes and in my case snap that could be the problem.

Thanks for the responses, appreciated.

It seems the new bulb I bought for 50p was faulty :doh I tried a different bulb and everything works fine, or does for the time being.

Once it gets warm I will need to have a look at the contacts and clean them up.

Good to hear you're sorted, there are some crap bulbs out there. I was going to suggested checking the cables behind the lamp cluster. I've had a couple of light units from breakers and found so donut had scotchlocked tow bar wiring to the loom at back of the lights. Not really open to all the water and muck from the roads is it.
