immobiliser

my truck is fitted with an after market immobiliser, i spent 10 mins today trying to work it, i think the terminals are worn and i only have the one key fob, so i want to remove it completely, anyone know whats involved? -banghead- -banghead-

What make is the immobiliser/Alarm ?
I installed my own so I have the manual, other members may have similar installation instructions. etc.
Most people install as per the instructions.
Hope this helps, info should be on the main unit under the bonnet, or on the key fob.

hi rustic, cant see what make the immobiliser is, no name anywhere and im not sure yet where it leads to, i'll have a look tomorrow and see if i can locate a name. thanks.

ok zippy will do, just been to a pals for a chat and took me 10 mins to get immobiliser off.

removed front of dash and followed wire to engine bay loom and removed tape and cut wires of immobiliser and joined originals together, then done the same under dash, removed a large bunch of wires, renewed some wiring, retaped loom, job done, no immobilser and no more headaches -welldone- -wor- -welldone- -wor- .
