yup, as the title suggests, I popped over to meet Pete and the car "that started it all"

First off, Petes a grand lad, as we all know, real nice chap, Sheila is a diamond too, lovely lass, made a reight nice coffee for me!:thumbs

now, onto the motor, the sun was going down, but i managed to take some pics. they arent the greatest quality but viewable!

one of the pics is blurred, but basically its the air conpipe, and its missing the blue screw cap thingy, so we need to discuss where to get a new one!!

anyway, heres the pics, ignore the old guy in the background....

part one of engine bay, nice and clean

waddya all think? good innit? engine sounds sweet as, feels to have loads of power. Dead tidy inside, everything works, i'd say its an excellent example, few marks here and there but thats no big deal, probably tidyer than mine!

of course the best bit is the sticker on the rear window :thumb2 , was great to meet clive plus he didnt scream too much when i drove him around the block :lol:lol

Good as :thumb2 well done all.

All you need now Pete is a tow bar , a tin shed (its what these trucks live for) and a crate of beer.

what car I could only see a pub :beer

oh and the broken bit of plastic looks like a beer holder.........err I mean cup holder :thumb2

And the old bloke could have at least tried a smile for the camera too :D

i was trying to smile :):D , strokes sometimes affect facial muscles , but believe me im as happy as a pig in poo :D:D

i'm not sure that small peice of broken plastic is a cup holder though, its pretty small. imagine something made to fit over the seat belt anchorage, or perhaps something attached to the seats, its got that sort of look to it, except theres nothing like it anywhere to be found in the car that we could see....!!

oh...hang on... I just thought, could it be a peice for the rear parcel shelf?

also, what about this air con cap, can you buy new ones? Petes is missing, so obviously all gas is gone in his air con,,,,

the piece of plastic " appeared " in the rear of the car between the 2nd and third row of seats al though it is possible it has either rolled there , or been kicked there by accident :nenau

you wont ... its broken off :augie

That's a good looking truck you have there mate, & the oil cooler looks well up to the job. :thumb2

Isn't the air con bit normally a Schrader valve? Could the fitting be re-tapped/ helicoiled & a new valve fitted?

its not broken, just missing the screw cap, just not sure where to buy new ones, or if they are standard sizes?

What about the guy on here that is breaking trucks? he might have a cap. Sorry I missed you last night Pete, I had too much on to come along with Clivvy, next time I won't:thumbs

Jim

PS met Clivvy at weekend so we could compare the trucks, set both our minds at ease I think to hear they sound and go the same:thumb2
