I assume you must be talking about that front bumper.:doh:doh
Seen one similar to that before...:doh

You'll need side steps just for the side steps lol...

Still have to have your window open to get enough room to turn the wheel. Or does it have built in elbow pads?

He/She might as well have bought a Hummer...at least they were designed to look like that from the word go.

Not really, Hummers probably weigh more, parts harder to find and would be even wider with big tyres like this. These are specially designed for snow and glacier crossings

Not sure on that, when you look at it, not much of that is LR standard, so finding parts would be almost as hard...

The bonnet is not standard, which suggests a bigger engine, which in turn suggests a different gearbox

Then it there is the obvious fact the axles are different, which means different props, and suspension.

When you look at the sides, there is something different with how the doors are recessed. I guess added insulation, so different panels there...

and that is all before the different lights, and flared bits.

I would have though finding parts for that would be a nightmare.

Bonnet bulge is just the new era ones with the ford engine I think. All those parts are readily available in Iceland . I'm sending the wife over now :lol

Engine might be something just as easy to source in iceland but that bonnet is standard, Axles could still be LR but with stronger internals.

A hummer would still be even wider with tyres that size.

They know their stuff, There are plenty of LR icelandic trucks. Never seen a hummer one though, not saying there isn't any but these trucks need to be road legal too.

Edit: Had a quick search, Still on bigger flares.

I wonder if it leaks oil, or have they incorporated an oil tank to automatically top up the swivel hubs, axles, diffs and gear boxes...:lol:lol

Please don't speak for me, I love defenders

Same here, I don't hate Landrovers (still have a thing for Defenders) I just prefer Nissan 4x4s ;) and don't like the bad attitude some of the LR driver's have when it comes to other 4x4 brands (although that type of view isn't confined to Landrover owners, they do seem more likely to have it than other 4x4 owners).

Can't deny that LR's are very good when it comes to the rough stuff, but there are other vehicles that are just as good (and arguably have a better rep for reliability) - as with most things it's less what you've got and more what you do with it that makes the difference.

Is that a drip mat under the engine :augie
