Has anyone thought about using a T2?

Great stuff.

Several years ago there was a Terrano trailer on eBay which as you can imagine was posted on here. If I remember rightly the idea was poo poo’d on here as dangerous and the brakes would never work and it’ll be illegal. The advert said even the central locking still worked on it too. I personally liked it but in fairness the eBay advert was pulled before it ended so no idea what happened to it.

Not much chance of any T2 rear end being so light, mind you depends how rusty it is:doh

Just been looking for previous threads about this. Found one but it was just an idea someone had. Got a lot of replies back talking about the LSD causing issues. Also a question about the brakes and would require a brand new axle. Another post about the rear shoes not working with overrun brakes.
Basically make a brand new chassis with conventional trailer hardware and stick a terrano body on it.

Good idea but in practice not that great.

On that theem, I remember years ago a Bedford camper with a half Bedford trailer that was powered, how the two engines were synchronised I cannot remember, but guy was intending to tour rough country abroad, Rick

Easy way to sort brakes is tap into the servo vac side and run vac pipe to trailer with vac servo, I did this with a caravan in 1972 and toured Europe with it including the Grand St Bernard over the top, worked a treat, Rick

Eyup Rick, far easier to have my Terrano camper idea. On the plus side I am not able to take my wife and kids:thumbs

Weirdly enough I've been on the hunt for a cheap crashed/damaged (Font end) Patrol to do just this!!!
