I got a new battery

My old battery lasted me through the last lot of cold weather we had but has been struggling a bit so far with this cold weather we are having now, leaving me having to walk too work a few times :doh .

So I decided to treat myself to a new battery, normally I would just walk into a car spares shop and buy the biggest battery I could afford. But times are a bit hard at the moment so I was a little bit more careful.

The batteries I found cost between £50-£180

I made lots on phone calls and ended up with a Bosch S4029 830CCA battery which cost me £85.99 plus a £3 eco fee :doh .

so I have gone from a battery with 540 Cold Crank Amps to a battery with 830 Cold Cranking Amps. the differance is amazing already :clap

My wifes' 8 yr old car still had original battery but it was becoming sluggish so I treated it to a new one yesterday.
Just about same price as yours and lots of CC amps; fantastic difference.

Should have heard what she said when I told her it was her Christmas present. :doh:doh:doh --------- any medics out there capable of removing a 12volt black rectangular block from a dark place ?

where abouts did you get it from as i have been looking just been into halfrauds and they want £103
