...and by new, i mean old and used.
Got a Mazda MX-3 this time, as some of you know i love my Mazdas me.
MX-3 is a 1.8 V6, so thats a tiny little V6 engine and its excellent. Quite a drop from my current 2.5 V6 but needs must.
Bought from a chap down in Sproston, paid top dollar for it but for my money i get a cambelt change so thats near enough £400 worth of work. Car is in pretty good condition as far as I could see, few new parts on there too such as rear discs and pads, exhaust and cv joint on passenger side. History is pretty good, its not had a hard life and has been looked after, with service record reching i think 80/90k miles, after that thebook runs out so theres quite a few slips for servicing. I know these 90's Mazdas reasonably well, and it appears to be a good one but only time will tell.
Body work is all black, and very good indeed. just the odd very very tiny rust bubbles that are hardly noticable, a very tiny car park ding on the passenger side door and the front bumper needs a new fixing bracket fitting as currently its held in place by a cable tie-you can hardly tell.
Engine bay is good, not shiney, but you can tell its been looked after correctly. Needs the leaves blowing out and a good scrub, but most of the parts look in good condition such as disti cap, radiator, pipe work, HT leads etc etc.
Interiors is all good apart from the drivers seat, which is a bit shagged and springy, so ill be buying a new one asap. I was told the A/C worked, but im pretty sure its not working but its a chance ill take-re gas it asap and if it works great, if not, ill have to get it fixed.
hopefully i collect it next Saturday, so im looking forward to that!
