No way that small cell would power the car fully, probably just adding some hydrogen

Yea well what a lot of non info, nice pics to waste time of Terrano badges etc but real info none, Rick

Our mate Stuart made one for his Landie :rolleyes: Yes it made hydrogen but I could fart as much after a tin of beans :lol

Funny how the top car manufacturers spending billions cant manage this yet a man with an old Terrano can. You can buy them on fleebay ...nuff said.

Mythbusters tested these..........

BUSTED :lol

i've got one, it does seem to increase fuel economy a bit but no by much & calms the black moring reek too :thumb2

I posted a thread about hydrogen generators and got some pretty rude responses. Apparently the issue (as mythbusters and the like say) is the amount of electricity it uses to produce the hydrogen in these simple generators, the resulting load on the electrical system pretty much cancels out most of the gain.

But! and this is the interesting bit! new research is directed at using low current and a very specific frequency (a kind of Brownian motion if you like) to excite the various elements and separate them that way. A bit more complex obviously and would depend on so many other factors, like the air pressure, exact make up of the water used etc.

But i believe the future for hydrogen power is positive!

:thumb2

Dont mention Brownian motion , had to take a few days off the other week with that ( ; )<}}}

just eat lots of beans and stick a pipe up ya bum :augie

The process is probably electrolysis, and it is the compound of water breaking down to its basic atoms of Hydrogen, and oxygen. H2O

The gas mix will be very explosive,
If you can have a cheap electrical supply and store the hydrogen/oxygen mix, then you may be onto something.

The problem is that it requires high energy to disassociate the water.

As said before, more energy in than you get from the energy out, as the combustion engine is not very efficient. Just look at that wasted heat and noise, all is wasted energy.
