glad you got it working mate:thumb2 but if u didn't know about the safety bar maybe u should seek out someone with experience with chainsaws they are dangerous mate ive had them kickback a few times make sure the chain and bar are set correctly:thumb2

Husqvarna also made rifles and arms for the Swedish army :naughty

Best advice is go on a training course but failing that read the manual and there are two very good videos on youtube one from Husvarna and one from Stihl (bit american but info still valid) I suggest you spend an hour or so watching them then buy some PPE before using a 55.
My Husqvarna 55 runs 3/8 full chisel chain on an 18 inch bar and even having done the training course (5 days) I give it lots of repect as with a chain speed of around 17-18m/s it will not take long to cut through your leg or neck.
One final bit of advice is the chain brake should be on unless you are cutting, if you want to take a hand off put the chain brake on, if you want to walk put the chain brake on. If I had not followed this simple rule drilled into me during training I would probably not have a right arm.

Just been pipped to the post, PPE.

At the very least, chainsaw trousers, boots and proper gloves (watch if you're a lefty as often the protection is only on one hand)

Treated with respect they are damn handy things for getting the wood stack reduced to dust and a few logs.

As a rule I'm the biggest anti nanny state elf n safety dude out there BUT chainsaw has my respect
So as above, get clued up on it ASAP
We use ours for firewood etc and also take one with us offroading. You never know when a lane might need a clearing :naughty

Or you might get stuck out there for months on end and as a result of critical survival, you have to amputate fellow people's limbs for food............

Totally possible:augie
