I am a plonker, said to my wife in the restaurant last night "when we get home remind me to check our vehicle stuff as I had lost track of everything, so what do I find, her car was out of MOT, Panic, on the phone first thing am today to book test, 12 noon, checked easy stuff lights wipers washers etc and took it down, went off for a coffee, few mins later they rang, could not test it as rear exhaust was adrift so could not do emissions, took it back home, no one got a pipe local in stock, thought I had one here somewhere but could not find it, so looked for alternatives, found a flange with bit of good pipe on it, so removed rear section grafted the two together, retest at 3pm, and it PASSED, couple of advisories, but nothing I did not expect so REALLY VERY GOOD NEWS:clap:clap:clap, Rick

Funny that similar thing happened to us on Sunday evening. Called garage yesterday morning and they could fit it in, called gaffer at work to ask for day off expecting to get told NO but got a yes. Failed on rear number plate and advised front no plate were delaminated. so got a pair and he passed it same day.

Has anyone tried the MOT Text Reminder service? not sure I like the DVLA having my mobile number and £1.50 a message either.

What's wrong with the old fashioned system, you put a calendar on the wall, and mark these dates on.

You won't forget birthdays and aniversaries either.:thumb2

Transfer the dates when you buy a new one.
