HI am i right in thinking you can get an accessery to fit h.l. jack that fits in wheel through spokes ,so you can then lift truck up out of a rut ect.
enabling packing to then be placed under tyre.

The Lift mate mounts on the tongue of the hi lift. You then put the hooks through 2 of the holes on the wheel, and lift away. Once the wheel is clear of the ground, you put a waffle board, etc underneath it & then repeat if needed on the other side.

Good points, lifts on the wheel, so no suspension droop to overcome. This is important on vehicles with highly modded suspension that have massive articulation.

Downside, would need some extra support (axle stand) if changing a wheel.

Also you need something to put between the jack and your body work as the angle of the pull pulls the jack on to the body. This is a general drawback of highlifts unless you have tubes and a jack adaptor to fit in them.

Ian, don't buy one untill you have seen the two I have. The normal landie one can be used to lift by the wheel too. This is it http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/OFF_ROAD/Jacks/90/110_Jacking_Adaptor_-_Galvanised.html or you can use the strap type like the ebay one but for a lot less than shown :wink: I made my own, which I can show you. It can now lift from any metal point, ie. Tie down loop things, metal bumpers or tow bar.
