Hi All,
new to this forum and wanted to say hello.
Iv had a navara 22b for a month now and in the wet it seems to slide out very easily. Im on standard 4 spoke wheels with 265/60r16 tires is this too wide or ok for the rims?
Im looking to use the pick up for some off roading/green lanes and family holidays recreational stuff and the garden haha.

Whats the thoughts on the problems with sliding im on a/t tires and wondered if a better different set would solve the problem? :nenau

Thanks Hobo

Hiya mate welcome to forum, two things I would check is quality of tyres and if the rear diff oil has been changed when it should have, I'm presuming its got lsd in the rear, if oil is old could cause an issue in the wet :thumb2

Welcome bud. Fresh oil in the rear diff may help. If it's limited slip diff, make sure you use limited slip oil. I know nowt about navs though :nenau
A couple of photos won't help your problem but it will stop the moaning sound you'll hear quite soon:lol

Edit. .. nowt to be getting on with T-Doug? :augie

Welcome bud to the club bud, I'm a Trol owner myself :thumb2

I'm not sure what width the standard navara rims are but I wouldn't expect 265 will be too wide for a 16 inch truck rim :nenau

As the Navara is a pickup it will be very light on the back end if you don't have anything loaded as the springs are designed for load carrying and with it being rear wheel drive that won't help. My Trol is similarly tail happy being front end heavy and rear wheel drive and the only cure is just to be lighter on the right foot going around corners in the wet.

How worn are your tyres? If there's not much tread it won't be helping.

thanks for the replys
The tires are Nexen Roadian A/T which iv never heard of to be honest. there is a few mm before the tire indicator so probably due to be changed soon just wondering about tires and if others experiance this.
I have the 2.4td sport and not sure if its an lsd or not anyone got ideas?
ill try put up photos when i get a chance dont worry haha

Welcome Hobo, great site, good folks with huge experience, great wisdom and a very dubious sense of humour.....fantastic stuff.....:thumb2

Oh yes......pictures......

Hi mate and welcome, personally do not know much about the Navs but there will be some on here that do, Rick

Hey Welcome! I'm really thinking about buying one of these cars but I'm not too sure where to go with it though, what are the common issues with the car (if any) or is there a part that needs regular maintinace? went Servicing Stop with my car the other day and spoke to them and they gave me abit more of an insight on these cars (they know me, been using them for years) but need abit more help.

I reckon we should all start spamming that servicing stop website...
