Heya all! I'm back - new beastie, new problems!

Finally got rid of the old Mk1 T2 (still have rolling chassis/engine/box if anyone wants)

Got myself a new P reg T2 2.7 TDI!

]Did something funny the other night - the starter motor 'stuck on' - ran on without turning over the engine.

This flattened the battery. So, got her towed home (wouldnt tow start either) replaced the starter and bettery.

Now she spins over, but won't fire, no diesel the the injectors. Plenty at the inlet of the pump. Tried bypassing the cut off solenoid - no difference. No fault codes (Code 55).

Left scratching my head on this - any ideas?

Yup, tried that too. Even tried leaving the ignition on for 15 mins - no avail. Just been out and checked the 2 earths on the inlet manifold, they're ok too

sounds like your key has gone out of sync with the NATS, do you have another key? if not most lock smiths can re program your key for you, Rick

Interesting - yes i do, never thought of that. Although the red NATS L.E.D DOES go off?

[EDIT] ...Nope.....

if you replaced the battery, take it out again then look to the left you should see a connector & relay, check to see you haven't disconnected when dropping the battery in. happened to me once so now im more careful when putting the battery back. worth a look anyway :nenau

had this problem with my tdi and i tried everything and i fired it up on easy start which for some reason reboot the ecu and not had a problem since starts first time every time and that was last july i did it because battery went dead worth a try i have had others do this and had 100% succes so far:thumb2

In sunny scotland for 2 days, but when i get back, imma try on easy start, ive got a crank sensor (just in case) and ill take the plunger out of the stop solenoid too. As well as double checking all the relays and fuses!

I shall report back!

Any ideas why a flat battery would cause it to 'lock out'? ive never heard of a car doing this before!

no idea but i had theproblem when mine went flat all the help nissan would give was bring it in we will have reset the ecu then i was told of how to try it with easy start after i put a new battery on and it fired up first time nissan dealers around me just see £ signs and are of no help just want your money where as the advise on this forum tends to be better than any nissan dealer around me can give its never been to nissan since i have owned nor will it:lol

Looks like your 100% record is unbroken! Squirt of ezstart, and brummm!

Can of ezstart - £1.50

Rejoining forum - £ 10

Avoiding dealer prices and getting a proper expert advice - Priceless!
